Rotary Club assists Angelia Jackson

The Madison County Rotary Club constructed a handicap ramp for Angelia Jackson on Rose Hill Drive Thursday, April 21, the club’s 859th ramp. Angelia has been severely handicapped since birth. She is confined to a wheelchair, is legally blind, does not hear and requires constant care. Thankfully, she was born into a caring family. For many years, Angelia lived with her mother. Unfortunately, her mother passed away and now she has moved in with one of her four sisters, Marsha Cannon. Angelia spends most days at adult day care and must be transported to many medical appointments. Luckily, Marsha’s sisters Tiffany, Bridgett, and Sharon live close by and always pitch in to provide for Angelia. The volunteers and Rotarians who constructed this 16-foot ramp to ease the burden of the family were Bruce Gandy, Ed Brown, Alan Phillips, Artry Bishop, Conolus Scott and Don Sullinger.
