Rotary Club builds a ramp for Lance Phillips

The Madison County Rotary Club ramp crew constructed a ramp for Lance Phillips Hwy. 72 in Colbert Aug. 26, the club’s 832rd. Phillips, who is pictured in the photo, accompanied by his wife, Regina, are life-long residents of Madison County where their families have lived for generations. Regina worked at the Farmers and Merchants Bank in Comer, and later in human resources in the real estate business. Lance worked in sales for the North East Sales Distributing Company, where he injured his back on the job. He suffered nerve damage in the spine, degenerating discs, and now faces the prospect of a hip replacement. Lance and Regina had three children; sadly one, Colton, has passed but the other two, Cody and Kimley, are nearby and provide love and care. The family attends the Danielsville Evangelical Church. The Rotary Club ramp crew volunteers and Rotarians providing labor for the Phillips ramp were Don Sullinger, Bruce Gandy, Ed Brown, Mitchell Hill, Walton Hill, Artry Bishop, Johnny Minish, Conolus Scott, Johnny Westmoreland, David McGinnis and Alan Phillips.
