Rotary Club builds its 825th ramp for the Manders family

The Madison County Rotary Club Ramp Crew constructed a 12-foot ramp July 8 for Billy Manders and his family on Colbert Danielsville Road. Billy worked for Walmart for 25 years but has been forced to battle cancer in his retirement. As his son, Billy Jr., put it, “because of the cancer, my father has to learn to walk all over again.” “Luckily, Billy has two children, Billy Manders Jr. and Melissa Armour, providing loving care,” said Rotary members. “The ramp crew was honored to have offered a small token of assistance by providing a much-needed ramp to help speed his recovery.” Billy Jr. joined volunteers and Rotarians who made the ramp possible in the photo with Johnny Minish, Artry Bishop, Don Sullinger, David McGinnis, Ed Brown, Johnny Westmoreland, Bruce Gandy, Wade Scarboro and John Taylor.
