Rotary constructs ramp for Monroy

The Rotary Club of Madison County joined the United Way Day of Caring Oct. 23 to build a handicap ramp for Angle Monroy, a 3 year old who lives on Hwy. 29 South in Madison County. He is unable to walk and his mother is having trouble carrying him up and down steps to take him outside. “The 21-foot ramp will help her a lot,” Rotary leaders said. “It was a good connection with the goals of the Rotary Club of Madison County, and the goals of the United Way, to help make life better for people who need it.” Workers on the ramp included Ed Brown, Bob Padilla, Alan Phillips, Johnny Minish, Jerry Coutant, Artry Bishop, Mitchell Hill, Walton Hill Johnny Westmoreland, Roy Gandy and David McGinnis.
