Rotary constructs ramp for Morgan Woods

The ramp crew of the Madison County Rotary Club constructed its 841st handicap ramp for Morgan Woods on Hudson Rivers Church Road in Danielsville Tuesday, Nov. 9. Morgan and his wife, Celia, are life-long area residents with a close, caring family in the area for support. They have two children, a son, Cory and a daughter, Christy. Morgan worked as an independent carpenter and Celia was a seamstress who worked at both the Bluebell and Oxford plants in Commerce. Unfortunately, Morgan is suffering from progressive Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and labors to breathe. Morgan and his wife, Celia, joined the Rotary ramp crew for the accompanying photo on their new 32-foot ramp. The Rotarians and volunteers on this ramp consisted of Alan Phillips, Artry Bishop, Bruce Gandy, John Taylor, Ed Brown, Johnny Minish, Don Sullinger, Wade Scarboro and Walton Hill.
