Voters may begin voting early the week of Aug. 2 to Aug. 6 for the primary run-off. According to chief registrar Tracy Dean, you may vote in the run-off even if you did not vote in the July 20 primary. If you did vote in the primary, you must vote on the same ticket.

Due to logic and accuracy testing of the touch screen units, voting will not begin until 10 a.m. on Monday morning Aug. 2 and continue until 5 p.m.

Voting hours for Tuesday though Friday will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the registrar’s office. There will be no absentee voting on the Monday prior to the election.

Georgia law requires you to show photo identification when voting in person. A list of acceptable forms are: a Georgia driver’s license, even if expired; a valid employee photo ID from any branch, department, agency or entity of the U.S. Government, Georgia, or any county, municipality, board, authority or other entity of this state; valid U.S. passport; valid U.S. Military photo; valid tribal photo ID and any valid state or federal government issued photo ID, including a free voter ID card issued by the registrar’s office or the Georgia Department of Drivers’ Services.
