An Indiana man was sentenced recently in Madison County Superior Court to two years confinement for burglary in the first degree. Nathan Joseph Lamb, 26, 911 Carriage Court, Jeffersonville, Ind., was also sentenced to eight years probation and fined $1,350. A charge of theft by taking was disposed of through nolle prosequi.

Other actions filed recently in the office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Madison County include:

•Darryl Swanson, 39, Apt. 2, 2530 Peachwood Circle NE, Atlanta, was sentenced to one year probation for simple assault (reduced from aggravated assault), simple battery and criminal trespass. He was also fined $725. A charge of failure to appear was dismissed, while a charge of cruelty to children in the third degree was disposed of through nolle prosequi, meaning the charge won’t be prosecuted now but could be later.

•Roger Dale Strickland, no age or address available, was sentenced to one year probation and was fined a total of $625 for simple battery (reduced from simple assault) and criminal trespass.

•Connie Hand, no age or address available, was sentenced to one year probation and was fined $250 for obstruction of officers.

•William Shane Farmer, no age or address available, was sentenced to 30 days confinement for disorderly conduct.

•Danny Jackson Wilder, no age or address available, was sentenced to 120 days confinement for obstruction of officers.

•Daniel Adam Simmons, no age or address available, was sentenced to 120 days confinement for battery.

•Jonathan Reyna, 30, 84 Sweetgum Alley, Hull, was sentenced to 10 days confinement for disorderly conduct (reduced from obstruction of officers).

•Kenneth Lane Rolls, 46, 335 Swain Road, Commerce, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $136 for improper U-turn.

•Leslie Ann Ankerich, 26, 124 Hillwood Drive, Danielsville, was sentenced to three years probation and fined $412 for possession of methamphetamine.

•Ryan Lucas Bland, 28, 1425 Damascus Road, Homer, was sentenced to two years probation, 24 hours confinement, 40 hours of community service and $975 for possession of a controlled substance and one year probation and fined $1,008 for DUI drugs. Charges of drugs not in original container and open container violation were disposed of through nolle prosequi.

•George Ronald Childs, no age or address available, was sentenced to two years confinement for possession of methamphetamine and obstruction of officers and one year confinement for fleeing or attempting to elude officers.

•Audrey Anita Shelnut, no age or address available, was sentenced to 15 years of probation on two counts of sale of methamphetamine and fined a total of $1,750.
