A second juvenile in less than a week was charged with terroristic threats and acts after allegedly making threats on Instagram about “shooting up the school” to another student and to a former girlfriend who now attends Oglethorpe County High School.
The student the boy sent the posts to reported the matter to administration officials the next day.
The poster initially denied involvement, but after law enforcement contacted OCHS school officials and received copies of his posts to his former girlfriend, the boy admitted to the incident and turned his phone over to law enforcement. He was released to his father.
This incident, which occurred on Friday, Sept. 13, followed a previous one on Monday, Sept. 9, in which a student was arrested in a similar incident involving social media posts. Madison County High School was placed on lockdown briefly during that incident.
