MCHS holds ‘Summer Reading Challenge,’ ‘Stop the Summer Slide’

Madison County High School students recently celebrated reading well over 1,000 hours during the summer. Their challenge was to read at least 10 hours. They documented their time and turned it in. “We would like to thank all of our supporters and donors: MCHS Athletic Director-Coach Mike Haynes, Dairy Queen, Zaxby’s, Barberitos and MCHS Principal George Bullock for providing the e-reader for the top reader. The top 10 readers were Karsyn Daniels, Baylee Cleveland, Allen Stephens, Ella Chancey, Remington Gurley, Anna Ta, Lili Hajdu, Lily Herndon, Alex Jones and Caroline Beach.
