CHARLESTON, S.C. – Richard Lee Cool, 54, died Thursday, April 16, 2009, at his residence.

He was the son of Keith and Phyllis Cool of Ripley, W. Va. He spent a portion of his childhood in Jackson County, some of his childhood in Ripley, W. Va., and was a 1972 graduate of Ripley High School. He spent over 20 years in Casper, Wyo., working in the oil and gas industry and with the Wyoming Oil & Gas Commission before retiring to Charleston, S.C. Mr. Cool was preceded in death by a brother, Doug Cool.

Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife, Marlene O’Leary; and a son, Richard, Princeton, N.J.

A remembrance of his life was held in Ripley, W. Va., on Friday, April 17.
