champions in middle school

The Banks County Middle School wrestling won the Peach State Wrestling League championships. The team defeated West Jackson, Oglethorpe County and Madison County to win the championship. The team is coached by Joe Denton and 1st Sgt. Raymond Bentley. The middle school team then competed at state where three wrestlers finished first in their weight classes: Aucy Jacobs (103), Jaxon Mitchell (119) and Cam Cooper (157); four wrestlers placed second: Case Hanley (90), Jacob Moran (95), Cohen Ward (103) and Danny Evans (112); three wrestlers placed third: Clay Smith (130), Davis Mitchell (138) and Mason Dodd (190); one wrestler placed fourth: Robert Walker (190); three wrestlers placed fifth: Dylan Smith (119), Andrew Humphries (147) and Ashton Camp (171).
