Commerce

The Commerce infield comes together before an inning begins during recent action for the Tigers. The team scored 40 runs during a recent three-game stretch.

Runs are something the Commerce Tigers know a lot about.

During last week's three games, the Tigers were able to plate 40 runs. All three games resulted in wins for the Tigers.

Commerce defeated Prince Avenue (Sept. 12), East Jackson (Sept. 11) and Providence Christian Academy (Sept. 10). The Tigers allowed only eight runs in the three games.

"I think the girls are playing up to their potential for the most part," head coach Melissa Mullis said. "... we need to play up to our potential in the face of adversity. We have two weeks left of region play before the tournament. We need to be progressing as a team, and win or lose (Tuesday), I think we are right now."
