East Jackson swam at Habersham County over the weekend, albeit with only a portion of its roster.

With six swimmers out due to quarantine or injury, the Eagles had only three high school swimmers in the pool. Drew Cameron led that group with a 14th-place finish in the boys’ 100-yard breaststroke.

East Jackson’s middle school team, however, earned a piece of history as it competed for the first time. The six-member squad placed ninth out of 11 teams.

Courtney Cameron placed fourth overall in the girls’ 100-yard individual medley and fourth in the girls’ 50-yard backstroke. Jack Davis took fifth in the boys 50-yard freestyle and seventh in the boys’ 100-yard freestyle. Ben Nunnally was 12th in the boys’ 50-yard backstroke, and Leilia Huss took 14th in the girls’ 50-yard backstroke.
