The Jackson County boys’ basketball team was edged in the final seconds of its Thursday (Nov. 14) opener at North Hall, losing 44-40.

The Trojans hit the deciding shot in the final 15 seconds, and Jackson County missed a chance to tie the game, and was forced to foul North Hall after that in the close road loss.

“We've got a lot of work to do,” said coach Ty Baumgardner, who is in his first year with the program.

Kalib Clinton, after averaging 21 points and 12 boards last year, got off to a hot start this season with 26 points and 10 rebounds against the Trojans. Bryce Blake added 10 points and three rebounds.
