The Jackson County girls’ basketball team dropped its season opener, falling to North Hall 67-34 on the road Thursday night.

Carson Anderson led Jackson County (0-1) with 10 points, followed by Kennedy Harris (nine points) and Naomi Sims (eight points).

“We gave them too many second chance opportunities, and we couldn’t convert on the offensive end,” first-year coach Aaron Schuck said. “Ultimately, I have to do a better job preparing my team, and I did a poor job getting them ready to play. This loss is directly on me.”

Jackson County returns to action Tuesday at West Hall at 6 p.m.
