Smith signs volleyball scholarship with Valdosta State

Jefferson High School volleyball standout JoJo Smith has signed her letter of intent with NCAA Division-II Valdosta State University. The school held a signing ceremony Wednesday (April 28) for Smith, who finished her senior season with a team-high 244 kills on a squad that featured four players with at least 100 kills. She also totaled 89 digs and 20 blocks. The senior helped guide the Dragons to a second-straight region title and Final Four appearance this past fall. Smith finished her career with 649 career, 486 digs, 86 blocks and 86 aces. Smith was also a state high-jump champion during her time in high school.
