Some familiar names found themselves at the top of the leaderboard at night's end during Saturday's (Sept. 14) Summit ET event at Atlanta Dragway.

Racers from Commerce, Maysville, Braselton and Jefferson all had reason to celebrate with wins and second-place finishes against competition from around the state.

In the pro series, 72-year-old Jody Blalock Sr., picked up his third win of the season. Blalock defeated Steve Wagner of Jefferson in the finals. Blalock advanced to the finals after defeating Allen Williams in the semifinals. Wagner took down Phillip Wigington in the semis.

Jayton Duggar raced past the competition to a win in the junior street division. The Commerce native defeated Tyler Wilson in the finals to take the win. Duggar was the only points leader to win on Saturday.

In the super pro bike series, Maysville's Eric Browning took the win. Browning defeated Drew Queen in the finals.

The young local drivers also showed out. In the 5-9 junior dragster division, Braselton's Aaron Kennedy, 7, won the event. Kennedy defeated Winder's Zakary Case, 6, in the finals. Kennedy defeated Kirsten Goddard, 9, of Loganville to reach the finals. Case defeated Corey Reed, 7, also a Winder native, in the semifinals.

In the 10-12 junior dragster division, Maysville's Malachi Edwards, 10, took first place. Edwards defeated Jefferson's Shawn Wilson, 10, in the finals. Edwards defeated another Jefferson racer in the semifinals, Shannon Blanton, 12, to reach the finals.
