RECOGNIZED FOR 35 YEARS OF VOLUNTEERING

Major Hunter (center) was recognized recently for his 35 years of service to the Banks County Recreation Department. He has coached his daughters' and granddaughters' teams, as well as other teams. This year, he coached his grandchild's volleyball team, as well as a softball team when a coach was needed for that team. Recreation leaders state, "He is a team player and never hesitates to step up when needed. This season, he coached both teams during the same season. Thank you, Major. Your dedication and volunteerism have helped positively shape so many through youth sports."
